Gerbera jamesonii Royal

Royal is an early flowering and very floriferous series. It develops many eye-catching, large flowers in bright colours.
The plants are medium sized with a nice dark green foliage, and a prostrate growing habit, which is important for the development of many buds.

The series is very uniform and has a short sales period.

Royal is available in 8 different mixtures and in the following 17 separate colours:
Apricot, Champagne, Deep Coral, Deep Orange, Deep Pink, Golden Yellow, Lemon, Light Orange, Orange Scarlet (2 different colours), Peach, Red, Rose, Salmon Rose, Soft Pink, Yellow and White.

We can offer the following mixtures:
Easter Bonnet Mixture(New): Apricot, Lemon, Deep Pink, Soft Pink, Vanilla, Light Orange.
Premium Mixture: Yellow, Rose, Golden Yellow, Golden Orange-Scarlet shades, Red, Salmon Rose, Orange Scarlet, White, Light Orange, Deep Coral, Deep Pink.
Sunrise Mixture: Yellow, Rose, Light Orange, Orange Scarlet, Golden Yellow, Salmon Rose, White.
Sunset Mixture: Golden Orange-Scarlet shades, Golden Yellow, Yellow, Orange Scarlet, Red, Deep Orange.
Pastel Mixture (Watercolours): Light Orange, Salmon Rose, Pastel Pink, Peach, White.
Valentine Mitxture (New): Rose, Water- melon, Vanilla, Orange Scarlet, Soft Pink, White.
Latin Mixture: All dark eyed colours.
Royal Mixture: All 17 colours.

Sowing Medium:

Lightly fertilized peat.

Sowing:In trays, i.e. 96 plug tray. After sowing irrigate and cover trays with a thin layer of Vermiculite.
To obtain optimum humidity we recommend covering the trays with plastic.
Gerbera seeds need light to germinate.

Germination Temperature:21 - 23 °C (70-73° F).

Time to Germinate:4-6 days. After germination and before the young plants start to stretch, the plastic must be removed and the trays placed on benches in a greenhouse.

Potting:6 weeks from sowing the young plants are ready to be potted.

Pot Size:11 - 13 cm

Potting Medium:Fully fertilized peat.

Growing Temperature:Night temperature 18-21 °C (65-70° F). Ventilation and good air circulation is recommended.
Daytime temperature 20-24 °C (68-75° F). During sunny periods it is necessary to shade the greenhouse to maintain an ideal climate.

Production:2-3 weeks after potting the plants must be spaced.
Final spacing: 20-22 pots pr m2.

Growth Regulator:If necessary spray with 1-2 ‰ Alar.

Artificial Light:If daylight is less than 13-14 hours we recommend use of artificial light.

Sales Period:7-8 weeks after potting.
